Community Engagement NPTAC is grounded in a sincere desire to provide services, resources and manpower to better the lives of children in the community of Norman and at the individual unit level. This support extends to Dimensions Academy. Each year, an area of need or service in the Norman community will be identified by the NPTAC general membership. The Norman PTA Council is the coordinating body for all PTA units serving Norman Public Schools and serves as the link between each school's PTA and Oklahoma PTA. Council responsibilities include providing mentoring and training for unit officers, supporting leadership and membership, and educating on advocacy issues and programs like Reflections and WatchDOGS among many others. The Superintendent and the administration of Norman Public Schools support the Council and its role as a channel of communication between the district and all member PTAs in Norman. The Council hosts an annual PTA & Principals luncheon, organizes community service projects, and provides scholarships to NPS students. If you have questions about becoming involved with the Council or joining as a business member, please contact us at normanptacouncil@gmail.com.
